Rehabilitative Care
Deep Tissue |
Deep Tissue is a traditional massage therapy technique used to access the deepest layers of muscle and fascia in the body. Deep Tissue is great for breaking up scar tissue, while also lengthening muscles and releasing toxins (such as lactic acid buildup). Not only does this relieve stress and promote healing, but it also helps muscles to release old tension patterns and improve performance.

Trigger Point Therapy |
A trigger point can be described as sustained muscle tension that refers pain to another part of the body. For example, tightness in the shoulder may refer pain to the nerve plexus in the neck, which might then cause a headache. In Trigger Point Therapy, these tight areas are isolated and acted upon with direct pressure. A therapist will typically coach their client through the healing process with breathing techniques designed to relieve tension. Even in instances with chronic pain, one session can provide tremendous relief.

Myotherapy |
Myotherapy is a system of relieving muscle pain by applying pressure to highly sensitive spots in the muscle tissue called trigger points, followed by exercises that stretch and retrain the muscles. Myotherapy is used to relieve both acute (short term) and chronic (long term) muscle pain.

Lomi Lomi |
Lomi Lomi is a system of massage believed to have originated in Hawaii. Unlike most massage modalities which focus on one area of the body at a time, Lomi Lomi uses long connective strokes and rhythmic movements to connect the whole body from head to toe. The proper application of Lomi Lomi technique can allow the recipient to enjoy a deep level of healing, affecting both the mind and body.

Swedish Massage |
Swedish Massage is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As one of the primary goals of the technique is to relax the entire body, Swedish Massage employs both active and passive exercising of the muscles and joints, with long gliding strokes. In this, Swedish Massage increases the level of oxygen in the blood, decreases muscle toxins, improves circulation and flexibility, and eases tension.

Light Touch & Energetic
Reiki |
Reiki is a hands-on energetic healing system in which the practitioner acts as a channel for ki ('life force energy'). Reiki promotes the body's ability to heal itself and, like other energetic techniques, can be used in combination with other modalities. Recipients feel more calm and centered, more energized, or both. Reiki practitioners believe that the process also causes deeper healing on emotional and spiritual levels.
|
Myofascial Energetic |
Myofascial Energetic is a massage modality which focuses on leveraging the relationship between each layer of the body, using the most superficial layers—the skin and fascia—to release tension in deep muscles. Because Myofascial Energetic affects deep relaxation without the need to apply much pressure, it has special applications for those with pressure sensitivity.
|
Lymphatic Massage |
Lymphatic Massage involves gently brushing along the lymphatic channels to encourage the immune system and help the body to flush out toxins. This light-touch modality allows individuals who cannot withstand deep pressure to enjoy the benefits of massage, and is for that reason often used on the elderly or disabled.
|
Craniosacral Therapy |
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and relaxing therapy used to correct the displacement of cranial bones, such as is sometimes caused by head trauma or dental work. Craniosacral Therapy also helps to harmonize the balance of cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
|
Aromatherapy |
Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of essential oils extracted from plants or trees. Essential oils give a plant its fragrance and have been known throughout history for their healing effects on the body and mind. Aromatherapy is frequently used to relieve headaches, stress, insomnia, anxiety, depression, skin problems, respiratory problems, and much more.
